MIX Mashup Events are underway. Join in the fun!

Microsoft Mash-Ups engage diverse professionals in a creative environment to envision and create the ‘next big thing’ in meeting customer wants and needs.

What is a mashup?

Wikipedia definition: A mashup is a website or application that combines content from more than one source into an integrated experience.
Layman’s definition: Make technology the way you want it to be!

Come see for yourself and create your own definition. The Mashup events are open to ANYONE registered at MIX07, including but not limited to: web developers, web designers, hard coders, bug bashers, business gurus, decision makers , creative souls, guinea pigs, interested bystanders, and asset finders. Swing by the Venetian third floor and see what the mashup buzz is all about:

Mashup Brainstorm: Sunday, April 29, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Mashup Social Hour: Sunday, April 29, 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm
After Hours Mashup: Monday, April 30, 8:00 pm - 2:00 am

Add your ideas to the brainstorm and mix it up at the Mashup social hour. Then, put your ideas in motion at the live ‘After Hours’ Mashup greeted by good food, music, drink, hands-on labs and prizes - a party fueled by brainpower and creativity!

Meet new friends and old, stay up to the minute on all the happenings, and network like you’ve never networked before using our MIX social networking offerings.

Converse and connect before, during and after MIX on Facebook with other attendees. Upload event photos, start dialogues, and get the most current information on MIX07 and Birds of a Feather gatherings between sessions. Join the MIX07 Event on Facebook to connect with other attendees and join the Facebook Developer community to connect with fellow developers and learn more about the Facebook Platform.

What is Twitter? It's what everyone is doing! Twitter is a versatile new service that only asks one question: What are you doing? Answers are kept under 140 characters and routed between friends in real time so you always know what's up. Join us! Text JOIN MIX07 to 40404 and Twitter will keep us all connected as we descend upon Las Vegas for our 72 hour conversation. We'll know who's "heading out to dinner in ten minutes," who is "sitting up for the Ray Ozzie keynote," and even, who is "waking up in the desert!"

Finally, be sure to tag all of your MIX related blog posts and photos as MIX07 so that all those folks who weren’t able to make it can see what’s going on (and all the cool stuff they are missing)!

A warm thank you to all the participants in this year’s REMIX contest! With over 100 entries it was a fantastic outpouring of creativity and artistry. The difficult decision of picking grand prize winners and honorable mentions was left to our capable judges who picked the designs based on three factors: quality of the design, creativity in remixing the home page and thoughtful user experience, with bonus points awarded for using the new Microsoft Expression Web design tool.

These posters are from a limited print run and it is the only way you can collect all three.
