Dear Internet Traveler,

You have stumbled upon a small experimental section of the web known as Project Rosetta. The goal of the project is to help designers and UI developers learn new technologies by relating concepts and skills in a visual way from one technology to another.

The current focus of the project is to map a path from Flash to Silverlight. The two platforms provide a range of the same features needed for building Rich Internet Applications; graphics, animation, media, controls, databinding and services. In some ways they are similar and other ways they are very different.

The Flash to Silverlight Guide is the first step on the path to new skills with both Silverlight and Expression Blend. The guide works as a standalone reference, as well as the base of knowledge for upcoming tutorials covering specific topics. There is a ton of content to cover, so we’ll be posting different sections as we get them completed.

We’re very open to feedback and would be happy to hear your opinions on usefulness, accuracy and new content suggestions.
