Karsten just posted 3 more days of intense WPF Boot Camp training at MIX University.  This is our most updated training, delivered recently here in Redmond by several experts from Microsoft and our partners.  It takes you from beginner to intermediate in the first two days, and then dives deep into some real-world implementations on day 3.

The viewer is written using Silverlight 2, and you can get the source code for the viewer app over at Karsten's blog.

The problem with your server producing empty white pages is that Silverlight 2 doesn't use MIME types in the same way as it did in the past.  So your web server tests work fine under Visual Studio but will break when moved to your production server, unless you change the IIS settings to handle Silverlight 2's files.  Long-story-short is that unlike Silverlight 1.1, Silverlight 2 doesn't compile a DLL file and you must fix the missing MIME type to display Silverlight 2 content on a production server.

Here are two useful links on how to get Silverlight 2.0 content to work on production servers:

Okay, the various bugs are fixed (higher quality video, full screen, firefox, links).  But if you just want the links, I've posted a document with all the links here: http://www.visitmix.com/University/wpf/bc08/links.htm

Hey All -- Sorry for the issues with Firefox and with downloads; I'm trying to resolve currently.  In the meantime, if you want to download the videos, I've got a post here with links to all the files:

When clicking on any of the download links I only get a blank page.  Using Vista Ultimate and IE7

@Joshua Allen: Here the link also doesn't work in Firefox 2.0.0.12 on Windows XP SP2 (while it works in IE6 and IE7). I just see a blank page, I guess it can't load the XAP.

@petebeech: Thanks for the feedback! We'll take a look at it

@aforonda: Can you see it as petebeech does, or is it not working at all?  What browser and OS version, and what are the symptoms?

I'm very much looking forward to viewing the WPF boot camp content, but unfortunately I'm having a few problems with it -

1) when viewing the videos directly on the page, and without maximising, the player controls obscure the bottom part of the video, and I can't find a way of removing the controls

2) when maximising, the bottom part of the video is blank

3) when maximised, the quality (at least of the one I looked at) isn't good enough to actually make out the text or graphics on the screen.

4) when trying to download, using the right mouse button on the WMV link produces a silverlight config context menu, rather than allowing a 'Save as' - this means the only option is to start streaming it by clicking on it normally, then use 'Save as' from the Windows Media player - but this prevents downloading more than one at once, and prevents use of a Download Manager program to queue up the downloads.

cheers
