MIX Online Sessions at MIX09

Feb 11, 2009 In News By Thomas Lewis

As you can imagine, we are about to land the plane that is the MIX Conference. Our team is stoked about all the great things that are happening at and around the event. You will see us working (ok... partying) at the event, in front and behind the scenes (we've been involved with everything from securing over twenty sessions to keynotes planning). We look forward to seeing all of you there.

We have 3 sessions you can attend that our team is presenting (your attendance is mandatory!):

A Website Named Desire

Come learn about A Website Named Desire, an infographic that celebrates the chaotic Web design process as it exists today as well as an honest exploration of the "real" web design process through the lens of a recently launched MIX Online site (i.e. this site). Hear about the practical lessons and notable experiences during the design and development of MIX Online from sketch to full-featured site.

Effective Infographics with Interactivity

Infographics (short for Information Graphics) are part design, part data visualization. Come hear how we created the Descry set of data visualizations as well as tips for creating effective infographics in software.

Oomph: A Microformat Toolkit

Come learn about Microformats and why we built the Oomph toolkit to make it easier to create, consume, and style Microformats. Also hear how you can get more involved with Microformats.

Please be sure to attend and support our team. Also, we would love to hear from you about the site, our prototypes, and what you would like to see us take on in the future!
